Edge PFAS

Fast and simple automated solvent extraction system.
Meets the requirements of EPA method 1633
All components in contact with sample are tested to be PFAS-free
Reduces the time needed for SPE clean up
Sample holders are easily assembled and cleaned (Q-Cups)

Edge PFAS

The EDGE® PFAS is an automated extraction system designed for solid and semi-solid sample types used in PFAS analysis. It accelerates the extraction process (including filtering, cooling, and washing) compared to traditional methods, revolutionizing PFAS sample preparation.

The EDGE PFAS™ system does not contain any PFAS-containing materials, ensuring the rapid extraction of PFAS without the risk of background contamination.

 Efficient PFAS Extraction

Automation Simplifies PFAS Workflow.

The automated solvent addition, complete extraction, and automated filtration make EDGE PFAS the most efficient PFAS system available. Simply add the sample to the Q-Cup, select the method, and press start. Once the process is complete, transfer the extract directly to analysis. This reduces operator error, minimizes contamination risks, and frees up valuable lab time for other tasks.

Features

  • Meets the requirements of EPA method 1633
  • All components in contact with sample are tested to be PFAS-free
  • Reduces the time needed for SPE cleanup
  • Compatible with a wide variety of sample types
  • Ensures easy assembly and cleaning of sample holders (Q-Cups)

Regardless of sample type, the EDGE PFAS can extract it. The EDGE PFAS system delivers a particle-free solution in a PFAS-free centrifuge tube, ready for analysis for all of these samples and more.

Q-Cup® Sample Holder

A simple solution to a complicated problem.

The aluminum Q-Cup sample holder consists of three easy-to-assemble pieces.

1. Q-Cup Cylinder
2. Q-Disc®
3. Threaded Bottom
The open top creates a dispersive effect which promotes rapid extraction and filtration. The disposable Q-Disc filters your sample prior to analysis. Its simple
design lends itself to easy cleaning.

Automated Extraction Process

Touch “start” to begin the automated process.

Automated Extraction Process

  1. Select a Method
Load a rack of Q-cups containing samples into the EDGE. Then, select the proper method, program the number of samples, and press “Start”.
  2. Autosampler Loads Sample
The autosampler automatically loads the Q-Cup into the chamber, sealing it with the pressure cap.
  3. Matrix is Extracted
Solvent is added through the top of the Q-Cup to wet the sample. As the chamber walls heat up, the increased pressure forces the solvent into the sample.
  4. Extract is Collected
Once the sample reaches temperature, the solvent filters through the Q-Disc, passes through the cooling coil, and into a collection vial.

eCleanUP

Super sorbent saves time

eCleanUP is PFAS-free and designed to assist in the removal of both water and impurities during the PFAS extraction process. For optimal results, add it to each extraction mixture along with the sample.
