Inductar® EL cube – Analyze five elements in one instrument

Inductar EL Cube

Analyze five elements in only one instrument

For the first time, it is now possible to analyze the concentrations of carbon, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen in metals and inorganic materials using just one analyzer. Specifically, the inductar EL cube is a newly developed inorganic elemental analyzer for highly precise and flexible determination of CS and ONH. It is equipped with a long-life solid-state high-frequency induction furnace, capable of reaching sample temperatures close to 3,000 °C. Additionally, the innovative technology eliminates the need for the tedious cleaning of oscillator tubes and electrodes.

Carbon, sulfur, and oxygen are analyzed using a wide-range IR detector, which covers the entire concentration range. Meanwhile, innovative detection technology enables the precise determination of hydrogen for the first time, while nitrogen concentration is detected via TCD. Additionally, with an optional camera, operator can observe the gas in real time. Ultimately, these cutting-edge design and technology solutions ensure the highest precision and versatility.

Specifications of the inorganic elemental analyzer

Measuring method
Depending on the selected functionality, the inorganic sample undergoes either combustion in oxygen at 2,000°C  for CS analysis or fusion with helium or argon at 3,000°C for ONH analysis. Subsequently, the resulting gases are then analyzed, with all processes conducted in compliance with international standards.

Easy sample preparation and handling
No special sample preparation is required, therefore any type of solid samples can be weighed directly using the instrument. For CS, samples are loaded into ceramic containers, while graphite containers are used for ONH, accommodating samples up to 1g. Some specific analyses require additives.

Five elements in one device
The inductar EL cube is the first analyzer to integrate CHNOS into a single device. With a simple switch, users can easily transition from CS to ONH analysis. Routine maintenance ensures that the analyzer operates as relaibly and accurately as dedicated specialized analyzers for each element.

Linear single/multipoint calibration
The operator is guided through the calibration process by an intuitive calibration assistant. The calibration is calculated transparently, is editable, and remains linear and stable for months. Calibration templates can also be saved for future use.

Low operational requirements
The instrument occupies just one meter of laboratory space and requires only a single electrical connection and one operating gas for maintenance-free, long-term operation.

Fully automatic
Automated, unattended operation is facilitated by the integrated sample changer, with control manageable through Windows or optional 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software.
