Depending on the selected functionality, the inorganic sample undergoes either combustion in oxygen at 2,000°C for CS analysis. Alternatively, it undergoes fusion with helium or argon at 3,000°C for ONH analysis. Subsequently, the system analyzes the resulting gases, following all procedures in compliance with international standards.

There is no need for sample preparation, therefore any type of solid samples can be weighed directly using the instrument. For CS, simply load the samples into ceramic containers, while graphite containers are used for ONH, accommodating samples up to 1g. Some specific analyses require additives.
